Freelance Power BI Expert

We are looking for a Freelance Power BI Expert to support our team in Croatia. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals and contribute to data-driven decision-making through impactful reporting and dashboards.

As a Power BI specialist, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and optimal report performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards

• Refresh and manage data connections from various sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel files, and cloud services)

• Perform ETL processes to transform and load data efficiently

• Write and optimize DAX formulas and utilize Power Query for data manipulation

• Maintain and optimize existing Power BI datasets and models

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement reporting solutions

• Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, refresh schedules, and performance

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Analyst, or Reporting Specialist

• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data transformation techniques

• Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language)

• Experience working with various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud-based services)

• Ability to analyze and optimize large datasets for performance

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in a collaborative and remote team environment

• Fluent in English – both written and spoken (mandatory)

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory):

• Familiarity with Azure Data Services or other cloud platforms

• Experience in data governance or data modeling best practices

• Knowledge of other BI tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R)
