AV Technical Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable AV Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support within a client-facing meeting room and experience center environment in Geneva.

The role requires a practical, operational individual who can quickly troubleshoot audiovisual and meeting room technologies, ensure seamless meeting experiences, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for meeting rooms, demonstration spaces, and client-facing environments.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, including:
    • Large displays and screens
    • Interactive displays
    • Video walls
    • Presentation and collaboration systems
  • Connect and manage multiple input sources, including:
    • HDMI
    • DisplayPort (DP)
    • USB
    • Adapters and docking solutions
    • Laptops and external devices
  • Diagnose and resolve display and presentation issues during live sessions.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of signal flow and audiovisual connectivity.
  • Manage screen configurations, resolutions, and display behavior to ensure optimal presentation performance.
  • Support peripheral devices such as:
    • Touch interfaces
    • Presentation tools
    • Audio equipment
    • Collaboration accessories
  • Operate demonstration applications and interfaces as required (user-level operation only; no development work involved).
  • Provide rapid response and effective troubleshooting during live client meetings and demonstrations.
  • Maintain a professional and client-focused presence at all times.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience providing hands-on AV and meeting room support.
  • Strong understanding of audiovisual environments and presentation technologies.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Large-format displays
    • Interactive screens
    • Video wall solutions
    • Meeting room technologies
  • Familiarity with connecting and switching between various input sources and devices.
  • Understanding of basic signal flow and AV troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of display settings, resolutions, and common presentation issues.
  • Basic networking and connectivity awareness, including simple troubleshooting of connected devices.
  • Experience handling presentation peripherals and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during live support situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Language Requirements

  • English: Mandatory
  • French: Preferred
