Senior E-commerce Optimization Analyst

Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced optimization analyst to provide data driven insights and increase sales conversion. The candidate will develop new programs to improve customer targeting, on-site search, and user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify traffic and conversion trends by channel, product attributes, campaigns, and also opportunities for improving site conversion.

  • Manage on-site tagging efforts and tag management tools. Work with merchandising team to refine on-site search algorithm.

  • Design and execute on-site A/B and multivariate testing campaigns. Promote and facilitate test-and-learn culture.

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative user data to measure site effectiveness, customer behavior and conversions. Make data-driven recommendations to improve customer experience and website effectiveness.

  • Monitor site traffic, user behavior and conversions through Google Analytics.

  • Regularly analyze user database to deliver insights on email segmentation and new marketing automation email initiatives.

  • Create and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to provide ongoing data and insights for team.

  • Continuously identify and target new opportunities to drive growth of business.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Quantitative background. Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics/statistics, social science research, economics, engineering or quantitative marketing

  • 2+ years experience in e-commerce or e-marketing

  • 2+ years hands-on experience and technical proficiency with web analytics and testing tools, such as Google Analytics and Optimizely

  • Experience with robust email service provider software, such as Marketo or ExactTarget

  • Naturally curious, and deeply analytical

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Organizational skills and good time management

  • Self-motivated

  • Bonus points for knowledge of contemporary art, home decor retail industry, or experience with affordable luxury brands
