Job Description

TurnKey Vacation Rentals (TurnKeyVR.com) is a leading, technology-enabled vacation rental management company started by former HomeAway/VRBO and Hotwire executives.  We are based in Austin and we manage over 2.300 properties in 50+ markets including Austin, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Park City.  We are growing rapidly and our goal is to become the largest firm nationally by offering homeowners advanced vacation rental management services, with higher revenues at lower cost. 

We are looking for an experienced and agile Sales Leader to increase sales and revenue for the US North region.  This Regional Manager will oversee and grow new Homeowner Sales while working in a high-growth startup environment.  The day-to-day job is building and managing TurnKey’s Homeowner Sales group in US North by hiring, leading, and coaching Sales Directors (Field Sales Professionals). Long-term we expect you to: increase revenue generated from Homeowner Sales, significantly grow our portfolio of properties, expand our regional footprint by entering new markets and hire and develop top sales talent.

This position reports to the VP of Sales and is based in Austin, Texas.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the overall growth of TurnKey’s business in US North with the goal of building TurnKey into the largest and most respected Vacation Rental Manager in your region
  • Hire, coach and develop Sales Directors to execute a consultative sales process and skillfully influence homeowners to join the TurnKey program
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan with each Sales Director in your region
  • Support Sales Directors as required during any stage of the sales cycle
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, unit and attrition goals
  • Set expectations with the executive team through timely and accurate forecasting, pipeline and sales activity reporting
  • Develop strong working relationships with other departments, colleagues and your sales team
  • Meet with key property investors, assisting Sales Directors with sales execution
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, key events and sponsorship opportunities in all markets within your region
  • Create a culture of winning and continuous improvement

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of successful direct sales experience
  • 3+ years experience managing successful sales teams in industries such as: Hospitality, Travel, Technology or SaaS
  • General knowledge of the Vacation Rental Space (professional industry experience preferred)
  • Successful track record of achieving and exceeding multi-million dollar annual quotas
  • History of hiring, developing and promoting top sales talent
  • Inspirational and professional communicator (e.g. presentations, meetings, phone calls, email, social media)
