Job Description

Description of Work/Duties:

  • Work full time hours of 37.5 per week
  • One (1) year of professional experience in developing, implementing or evaluating human services, sociology, public health, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree in human services or education field; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes at least one (1) year of professional experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, education, sociology, public health, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
  • Intermediate Computer skills to include, but not limited, to Microsoft Office Products. Incumbent will use applicable software programs for manipulation, analysis, and storage of data and use of Outlook to manage work and schedule meetings is required.
  • Conducts a variety of quasi-judicial hearings for the adjudication and disposition of single and multi-issue eligibility reviews initiated by applicants or current CHIP recipients and other programs with interagency agreements.
  • Conducts pre-hearing conferences to define issues prior to scheduling a full eligibility review.
  • Confers with parties regarding program regulation interpretation and issues pertinent to the eligibility review.
  • Researches, analyzes, and interprets rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and determines their applicability to the evidence of case records.
  • Confirms hearing dates, locations recording and interpreting services, and participating parties.
  • Respond, either verbally or in writing outside entities and family/applicants.
  • May be involved in eligibility review preparation.
  • Assist in tracking information, reviewing reports, and preparing reports for the supervisor, when needed.
  • The employee will use eCIS for screening, entering information, and researching information when needed.
  • Other related duties as required
