Behavior Specialist- Senior (746389)

Minimum Qualification:
Possesses a minimum of a master’s degree in education or psychology, social work, or other related field with an emphasis on behavioral support. Additionally, he or she has five (5) plus years in service delivery to persons living with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) and dual diagnosis.
Role Description:
Assignments may include the following:
- Assist in the assessment of capacity and needs of the individual who reside at the center
- Conduct behavioral assessments (Vineland, Vanderbilt Assessment Scale)
- Develop and implement treatment plans and keep detailed records
- Develop, implement and monitor behavioral plans, providing individualized instructional and behavioral support plans and assisting in crisis situations
- Monitor and record progress towards goals
- Conduct behavioral analyses to identify triggers, frequencies and consequences of an individuals behavior
- Facilitate skill building sessions to help individuals develop social skills, self care skills and other life skills
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (psychiatry, PSS, RSA/RSAT, PSD, FD, CDS and other healthcare professionals)
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Support transition activities of individuals from the state center to the community
