Sr. Accountant

G&A | Boston or San Francisco | Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities of the month end close process (to include):
    • Revenue recognition
    • Deferred revenue and AR management
    • Commissions estimation and accrual process
    • Balance sheet/Income statement flux analysis vs budget and prior periods
    • Working with outsourced staff accountant to ensure financial statement integrity
    • Ensure cap table management system is current
  • Support annual audit
  • Management reporting:
    • Budget vs. actual variance analysis
    • Cash flow & cash usage analysis
    • Quarter/year-end reporting to board of directors
  • Manage purchase order process and tracking
  • Basic FP&A duties (to include):
    • OPEX planning
    • Headcount planning and tracking
    • Cash flow forecasting
    • SaaS metrics analysis, tracking and reporting

Requirements:​

  • 2-4 years experience in a Big 4 company or similar environment
  • BA/BS in a related field, CPA/MBA a plus
  • Desire to work in a startup environment
  • Desire to perform a mix of accounting and FP&A work and scale the role
  • Knowledge of equity management process and systems
  • Knowledge of NetSuite or similar GL system and revenue recognition a plus
  • Knowledge of cash flow analysis and forecasting a plus
  • Must be comfortable presenting to C-level executives
