Network Security Engineer & Administrator

As a Network Security Engineer & Administrator, you will be responsible for the rollout, health, and support of our Nutanix-based VMWare ESX and micro-segmented NSX infrastructure that hosts our .NET development, DevOps, and .NET application stack supporting our growing team.   We have several in-market SaaS based solutions and new applications under active development.    

We seek an individual with ability to lead and own projects including migrations, conversions, and upgrades in a production SaaS environment.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of lifecycle ownership of network engineering, proof-of-concept, implementation, support, and upgrades.

Required

  • Deep understanding of networking, with specific knowledge of Cisco networking gear (most important: Nexus line of switches) and how to manage Cisco IOS features such as Virtual Port Channels, VLANs, Trunking, ACLs
  • Some experience with NSX or a similar software defined networking platform like Cisco ACI
  • Some experience with either Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar vendor
  • Some experience working in an agile software development environment
  • Some experience with any form of automation via tooling or scripting of the infrastructure, security, and configuration management layers
  • Ability to collaborate with a team working across multiple locations
  • Ability and willingness to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule

Bonus

  • Any Cisco or VMWare certs
  • Prior software development experience
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Powershell DSC, Puppet, Salt)
  • Ethical hacking certifications
  • Security certifications

This position is anticipated to require use of one or more high-security access systems.  Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter.

Compensation 

  • Salary Range : $85,000 - $120,000
