Our nationally accredited team is currently seeking a medical assistant to provide psychiatry care collaboration to current and future clients and their families!

What you'll do at work:

  • Manage and coordinate all patient communications, including calls, emails, and texts, to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and excellent patient support.
  • Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to promote engagement and continuity of care, even after missed appointments.
  • Handle medication refill requests by working directly with pharmacy representatives within the scope of applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Oversee completion of client documents, maintain confidentiality in medical records management, and process pre-authorizations for medications.
  • Coordinate lab test orders, track results, and communicate with providers and patients to keep everyone informed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to streamline client referrals and ensure seamless service integration.
  • Proactively manage provider schedules to maximize appointment utilization and maintain thorough documentation in patient medical records.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred
  • Experience working with an electronic healthcare record (EHR) preferred
  • Strong basic computing skills with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to work well with frequent interruptions, and ability to communicate with a variety of others in a manner that is direct, clear, courteous, and tactful in person, by phone, and by email
  • Provide current level one fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and renew as applicable.
  • Continuously maintain active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
