Director of Training
Clinical | Remote in Phoenix, AZ | Full Time | From $75,000 to $85,000 per year
Our nationally accredited team is currently seeking a Director of Training, to design and lead the organization’s master’s level graduate internship program in counseling.

Your Role:
- Provide direct supervision of interns’ clinical and learning activities including signing clinical documentation.
- Guide and participate in the internship recruitment and selection process, ensuring all training slots are filled annually with qualified candidates.
- Lead internship onboarding activities.
- Address personnel issues specific to interns.
- Maintain required professional documentation specific to training and supervision and serve as the point of contact for various credentialing and licensing bodies on behalf of interns.
- Serve as the company liaison with major universities and training programs and expand those relationships to support recruitment of diverse interns.
- Administer the company’s accreditation requirements for continuing education including record keeping and quality assurance activities per the National Board for Certified Counselors.
- Coordinate the formal training activities offered at the company including the monthly structured didactic program, monthly leadership skill training, annual skills training, etc.
- Create and deliver high quality, academic training presentations and programs based in science in multiple formats including recording asynchronous training.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives specific to the internship training program.
- Maintain direct clinical services via agreed upon schedule.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
- Continuously licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners or the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners, on an independent level, such as LPC or LCSW.
- Maintain Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Supervisor registration or be willing to complete activities required to initiate that credential within the first30 days of hire and to maintain it continuously.
- Possess and maintain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g., TriWest, TRICARE, Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, etc.)
Required Experience:
- Working knowledge of clinical supervision frameworks and relevant requirements for supervising clinicians.
- Experience with teaching graduate-level counseling education or directly supervising graduate interns seeking clinical social science degrees.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience analyzing and applying performance data to meet individual, team, and organizational goals.
Preferred Experience:
- One plus (1+) years of experience in supervision and management within a healthcare setting.
