Requirements:

  • As a Network Engineer, you are a focal point for all internal and external orders required to maintain the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. In the Network Engineering, Automation & Telemetry Team, you will be operating, upgrading, qualifying, and installing network elements in our production network. You will work closely with other Networking teams to improve procedures 
  • Scope: 

    • Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways

    • Work on problems of a diverse scope 

    • Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work, general instruction on new assignments

    • Experience and overall understanding of software and patches to a large number of network devices

    • Run autonomously with routine well-documented procedures, such as upgrading network devices in production or qualifying and testing new network platforms

    • Be able to advise other network teams on procedure improvements and automation to make the job more efficient

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain various network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints

  • Perform network maintenances/upgrades (usually during normal working hours, but sometimes after hours)

  • Participate in global production and corporate network including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure

  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols

  • Independently manage multiple vendor switches on various servers in dealing with hardware/software issues

  • 2+ years of working with network hardware (eg. Juniper, Cisco, Arista, etc)

  • 2+ years of building networks in an operational environment where reliability and uptime are the focus

  • Coding or scripting experience is a plus
