The Senior Director of Product is responsible for leading a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Project Managers and Engineers to refine existing and provide new features within the IMVU ecosystem. Creativity, critical thinking, and an insatiable appetite for meeting consumer demand are requirements for this role.


Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to build a strategic product roadmap addressing near and long-term needs

  • Own, measure and improve the user experience and technical performance of desktop products that results in business growth

  • Collaborate with business and marketing teams to identify customer pain points, come up with creative ways to address these user needs through clear definitions of new features and initiatives

  • Evangelize the product vision and strategy throughout the organization and ensure methodical translation into ambitious but practical roadmaps, prioritized development projects, and product definitions clear enough for developers to build efficiently and effectively

  • Diligently prioritize a product backlog that balances user, business, and technical needs while considering complex interdependencies

  • Lead cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, project management and other departments as needed (e.g. legal, stakeholders) to launch and continuously improve IMVU features and functionality

  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity backed in research and data driven analyses

  • Actively participate in companywide strategies, initiatives, and collaboration groups as an inspiring leader

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Strong product sense of what it means to deliver a great customer experience

  • 10+ years of Product Management or Producer experience in profitable, high-traffic consumer Internet services preferably involving gaming or social apps

  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Direct experience owning product development within an agile/scrum development process

  • Passionate about user experience; able to inspire and educate product managers, designers, and engineers with thought-provoking objectives and customer-centric use cases

  • Results-oriented ability to get things done with limited resources and a fast changing internal and external environment with a no-drama-or-politics positive style

  • Strong research and analytical skills with a relentless attention to operating and usage metrics to identify opportunities for product optimization and business growth

  • Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and take-charge management of day-to-day details; Equally comfortable with seeing the “big picture” and meticulously thinking through every interaction requirement of product development projects.

  • Proven ability to manage, lead and inspire a team effectively

  • Highly empathetic with ability to collaborate across a diverse group of stakeholders to refine concepts and identify highest value targets

  • BA/BS required, MBA and/or engineering/CS degrees a plus

The base salary range for this position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Total compensation will be determined based on several factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, competencies, and location. At Together Labs, base pay is part of a larger design. We intentionally invest in 6 elements: base pay, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, retirement, health, and wellness.
