As the Lead Systems Engineer for IT at Together Labs, you'll work with a team of talented engineers to maintain, administer and modernize the complete stack of IT infrastructure that supports employee connectivity in the office and remote. From the wan-edge in the datacenter, to the BYOD cell phone connected at any of our offices, to the remote employee working from home, your technical influence on our employee-facing infrastructure will be felt and appreciated.
IN THIS ROLE:
You will be responsible for leading key projects in design, development, and support of the tools that are used by employees at Together Labs.
You will develop plugins to monitor applications and implement self-healing mechanisms to auto-recover from outages.
You will write Puppet Manifests, configure and tune systems for resiliency and performance.
You will evaluate new technologies to solve problems as needed, and also play a significant role in architectural direction.
Implementation, maintenance and execution of all phases of the employee lifecycle including the tools that make doing so possible. On-boarding, off-boarding, provisioning, employee orientation and ongoing support.
Hardware and software procurement and lifecycle management for end-users and the infrastructure that supports them.
Improve network and infrastructure monitoring tooling with Zabbix and third party external monitoring tools.
Maintain backups and related infrastructure, ensuring successful backup jobs complete and verifying the ability to restore data on a schedule.
Maintain business applications developed by Atlassian, Jfrog, Tableau, Perforce, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 in both cloud SaaS and on-premise deployments.
Assist with help desk ticket escalations and improve the overall employee experience process.
Administration of Windows, Mac and Ubuntu servers and workstations, including Active Directory.
Design, implement and support the corporate network, including multi-site fiber connectivity, 802.1x, wireless, SD-WAN and Next-Generation firewalls.
Access control infrastructure implementation and administration. This includes SAML Single Sign-On, and management of Users, Groups and their related permissions and access policies within the organization. Ownership of IAM policies, services and technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years of experience in designing, developing and implementing IT systems, policies and procedures.
On-Premise Hypervisor Virtualization experience such as Proxmox or Vmware.
Scripting language experience such as Shell, Python, Bash, PowerShell.
Experience implementing and migrating to cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Active Directory, LDAP and SAML experience is required.
Experience working with OneLogin, Okta or similar identity providers.
Strong working experience with Linux Systems Administration and Troubleshooting with deep command line familiarity.
Strong knowledge of Networking protocols and components: TCP/IP Stack, Switches, Routers, Load Balancers, network segmentation
Experience in any of the monitoring tools like Nagios, Graphite, Zabbix etc.
Experience working with any of: Java Applications (JVM), Nginx, Mysql, PostgreSql, Kerberos, LDAP, Tomcat,etc.
NICE TO HAVES:
Proxmox Virtual Environment experience.
Experience in any of Puppet, Chef, Ansible or other devops tools.
Git or similar version control system experience.
Knowledge of the latest next generation firewall technologies.
Experience with Fortinet and/or Juniper equipment.
Audio/Video production experience including OBS for all-hands and off-site meetings.
An exceptionally positive attitude.
Experience in managing large scale web applications in production.
Experience in working with any of the build tools like Jenkins, ant, maven, git etc.
Knowledge of big data technologies is considered a plus (not mandatory).
