Social Media Manager

Job Summary

Threadless is looking for a Social Media Manager who excels at social media strategy, publishing, creative writing, and thrives on art and pop culture. Seeking a passionate storyteller, strategic thinker, and skilled communicator who has a proven track record managing multiple social channels while working within a highly collaborative team. A deep understanding of social voice, tone, and style is essential. This role requires proficiency in publishing tools, specifically Sprout Social, as well as native platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Youtube and whatever is “next.” Experience managing small social ad campaigns is a major bonus. Must be able to execute quickly and manage time extremely well. A love for artists, film, and entertainment is ideal and experience in e-commerce specific social media is a must.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of social media and campaign management, publishing, writing and content creation required (brand or agency)

  • Vast knowledge of the retail/e-comm industry and landscape. Experience in e-commerce specific social media (or similar) is required.

  • Expert understanding and passion of the social ecosystem and how brands should participate in an authentic way across all platforms

  • Ability to build social strategies to increase channel engagement, growth and drive increased traffic to our site

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing social data at the level only a mad scientist would understand

  • Current with pop culture, entertainment news and fashion trends

  • Ability to write strong copy often combining emotion, humor and information. Confident in publishing copy and content to mass audiences

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines

  • Strategic and creative thinker who can proactively problem solve and contribute solutions with Rubix cube precision

  • Comfortable being an industry leader, ready to teach us a few things

  • Ability to own your mistakes and use them as opportunities to improve

  • Flexibility to work weekends from home (for posting on social and engagement only)

 

Job Description

  • Build social marketing campaigns on a daily and weekly basis for Threadless sales, product releases, product trends, Artist Shops, Discover, Bucketfeet and various daily or weekly promotions.

  • Collaborate with Brand Team to create original and sourced content for all social platforms.

  • Lead all communication with fans, Threadless community, and prospective customers across all our owned channels.

  • Work collaboratively with the Brand team to align priorities as well as build out comprehensive analytics reports.

  • Execute social media publishing and content strategies, ensuring that all posts are accurate and punctual.

  • Lead all copywriting for social media posts, while managing daily social communication and listening.

  • Stay on top of daily cultural trends and relevant content opportunities.

  • Collaborate and contribute in brainstorm sessions during content ideation and campaign promo planning.

  • Work on strategic partnership opportunities with Tumblr, Pinterest, Facebook and other social platforms.

  • Must maintain ability to keep feeds growing and engaging from a holistic perspective.

  • Work on social ad campaigns lead by the Digital Marketing Director

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
