About the position:

NOM is looking for a highly motivated and intelligent Product Marketing leader to work with teams across sales, marketing, engineering, as well as senior executives. New product launches are inherently ‘cross-functional’ and entail coordinating the work of many different people. The ideal candidate will possess strong speaking and writing abilities as they will be required to storytell new products and the  voice of its customers. A crucial part of being a product marketing leader is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences. You need to be a master of data analysis and customer insights. You know that numbers matter and can see the stories within data, but also know how to translate metrics into client-friendly insights and analysis. You must possess the ability to create visually clear presentations, combining data that is based on a foundation of robust data and insights. The Product Marketing Lead will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead specific product and service launch activities for the market

  • Produce externally facing content such as customer stories, webinars, data sheets, feature briefs, white papers, web updates, and more

  • Create compelling and easy to understand internal content including playbooks, sales training, competitive positioning, FAQs, pricing guides, and cheat sheets

  • Optimize the offer strategy for the market(s) including positioning, messaging and packaging of plays to drive sales and customer satisfaction as well as differentiate new products from others in the market

  • Through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data, gain insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas

  • Establish timescales for development of new products with product management and engineering

  • Get feedback early and often from the sales team and iterate and evolve plays as needed and build funnel for future plays.

  • Be the expert on small businesses, how they evaluate and buy

  • Be the expert on the competition and how to beat them

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. in business, marketing or related degree.

  • 7+ years in Product Marketing

  • Strong experience in developing simple, business -oriented messaging and positioning

  • Self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Previous background in B2B or B2C marketing preferred, ideally with exposure to both small and medium size businesses

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Web Analytics
