Job Description

WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO:

The SOC is a mission-focused center that develops strategies and implements tactics on transformational campaigns that confront corporate power. We partner with workers, allies and our affiliates — the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Communication Workers of America (CWA), and the United Farmworkers of America (UFW) — whose 3 million members are united in building a strong, vibrant labor movement through organizing workers hungry for change. Through cutting-edge research and innovative campaigns, the SOC advocates for workers, consumers and other constituencies harmed by concentrated corporate power across a wide range of industries, including food service, transportation and logistics, communications, healthcare, manufacturing and more.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Strategic Organizing Center (SOC) is seeking a Digital Organizer that develops and implements effective digital campaigns that build worker power, advance progressive political movement goals, and hold corporations accountable. This role combines strategic digital advocacy with organizing principles to mobilize supporters, drive action, and create meaningful impact through online and offline engagement. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven with a deep understanding of both digital campaign tactics and the progressive political movement landscape.

THE WORK:

  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive digital campaigns that advance organizational priorities and support worker organizing efforts.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and produce compelling video narratives that effectively communicate campaign messages, highlight worker stories, and drive audience engagement across digital platforms.
  • Develop and execute digital advertising strategies across multiple platforms (Facebook, Google, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.) to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Manage a suite of digital organizing tools for email campaigns, petitions, fundraising, SMS outreach, and other digital mobilization efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with digital campaign partners, coalition members, and technology vendors.
  • Create and optimize landing pages, action forms, and other digital assets that drive supporter engagement and conversion.
  • Develop targeting strategies for digital outreach and advertising campaigns based on demographic, behavioral, and other relevant data.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and adjust strategies to maximize effectiveness.
  • Train staff, volunteers, and partners on digital organizing tactics and best practices when needed.
  • Draft compelling email content, action alerts, and other campaign communications that motivate supporters to take action.
  • Stay current with evolving digital organizing tactics, tools, and platforms to continually improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Maintain organized systems for tracking campaign data, contacts, and relationships.
  • Contribute to and/or lead other department-specific or cross-functional initiatives.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Strategic Organizing Center (SOC) is seeking candidates who are passionate about our mission and are highly proactive. While no one candidate will embody all the qualifications below, our ideal candidate would bring:

  • Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization techniques.
