Social Media & Events Director (Venture Capital) 

Audience: SF Bay Area Residents Only (Role includes several hats: Social Media and Blogging promotion, Community Manager (Webcast, Podcast, Video, Events), and Corporate Sponsorship Sales

Industry Experience: High Tech, Internet Startup, Professional Social Network, Venture Capital, and Large Event Organizer.

Reporting to Senior Partner, and contingent on your experience and desire, you will be responsible for one or more of the following:

  • Develop and execute events contents, promotion roadmap, and social media and SEO campaign
  • Build strong customer base, grow sponsors strategic partnerships and distribution channels.
  • Manage/create viral and exclusive contents that drive engagement from users, partners and influencer, including vertical Blogs by topics, videos, webinars, big data search, events, etc.
  • Develop and communicate a deep understanding of the pivotal issues for the client segments in each market, including startup, investors and corporate executive by running as community manager global groups
  • Build and lead high-performance team dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions to B2B and B2C channels, along expanding our top paying sponsors portfolio.  
  • Organize and promote our Offline/Online events, along strategic partners and co-host events at top universities
  • Standardize your process lifecycle from inception and iterative implementation, to performance reporting; to ensure it is “Lean, Predictable, Replicable, and Scalable”.

The right candidate will have had proven success within a space of Tech Conference, Venture Summit, Startup Innovation Pitch Demo, and hold a relevant education. You must thrive in an unstructured environment, operate proactively and have a passion for our disruptive innovation vision and its impact on knowledge economy entrepreneurs from around the world.

The role includes the following demonstrated experience:

  • A growing carrier path in Digital Marketing and Events Business Development with growth hacking skills
  • Measurable Success in building a compelling brand, team, Customers acquisition, and equally adept at strategy and execution with a drive for quick results and a vision to align long term strategies iteratively to market adaptability and fit.
  • Proactively takes complicated technical concepts and convert them into compelling, succinct verbal/written messages that support our offering and feeds our growth
  • Possess a highly-informed knowledge of competitive offerings, and creation of the positioning and messaging that will resonate with each audience.
