Four boutiques later, the growing lifestyle brand has embarked on a national franchise expansion and is looking forward to bringing their thoughtfully crafted menu with customizable enhancements, healing products and singular design aesthetic to cities all over the United States



  • Assist with the month-end close process by providing relevant journal entries, reviewing, and investigating anomalies
  • Prepare multi-state Sales & Use Tax filings, annual business license tax, property tax filings, other miscellaneous filings
  • Act as a liaison with business partners by answering inquiries and explaining accounting procedures
  • Set up new customers and manage accounts receivable customer data in accounting system
  • Record, create and distribute invoices for monthly fees and royalties, set-up ACH files for collections, maintain Accounts Receivable (A/R) balances
  • Develop and update processes and procedures around billing and collections
  • Correctly apply payments against outstanding invoices
  • Ensure bank transactions are posted timely, prepare weekly cash forecast for corporate boutiques
  • Monthly review of expense reports and periodic review of company credit cards; assist in payment processing
  • Responsible for various balance sheet account reconciliations and maintaining schedules
  • Maintain internal and external accounting controls, especially controls within Point of Sale System
  • Review expenses to ensure proper matching of cost against revenue
  • Assist preparation of external audit PBC lists
  • Provide support for the integration of new ERP System
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested



  • 2-4 years of Finance or Accounting experience, retail environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in Finance or Accounting is preferred
  • Must have an investigative mindset
  • Good analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data
  • Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and time management/organizational skills
  • Works well under pressure, accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments
  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Should have intermediate Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data exported from POS software or other resources (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Not required but helpful if proficient with Microsoft Dynamics or Expensify
  • Retail experience is a plus
