About the Opportunity

We need a talented individual to fill the potential role of a Strategic Business and IT analyst in support of a state client in the Bismarck, North Dakota area. The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of processes, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting in completing all contract deliverables, including ongoing project status reports.
  • Collaborating with the project team including State Agency Project Team and Project Manager
  • Assume Project Manager role if assigned
  • Business analysis
  • Demonstrated trusted advisor engagement and management
  • Demonstrated experience in aligning business goals to enabling technologies
  • Strategic road mapping expertise
  • Experience with Business process recommendations
  • Capable of recommendations related to enabling/emerging technologies


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.        Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in the public sector or private sector IT industry
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in consulting projects.
  • Experience providing business and/or IT consulting at strategic level
  • Experience and knowledge of IT industry standards and best practices.
  • Risk Management and IT Governance experience.
  • Experience scheduling and moderating IT meetings and coordinating technology and staff resources.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidates must be United States citizens.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Gap analysis, process mapping, as-is and to-be documentation
  • Strategic Organizational Change Management experience
  • Experience and knowledge of IT industry standards and best practices.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user/stakeholder needs.
  • Experience with project management and SDLC processes, and specifically requirements management, risk management and issue management.
