Internal Application: Paint Line Worker

Due a recent departure, our Paint Line team is short-handed and we need help to keep up with our production goals. The Paint Line Worker position is hourly with benefits that include Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical, plus dental and vision options, paid holidays, earned vacation and a 401k plan with an employer match. The team works 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday with shift start at 5 AM.

The Paint Line is the last stage of production before our cylinders are shipped to customers. Paint Line workers are responsible for the last stages of the process to include preparing cylinders for transport.


Summary:  Build pallets and prepare cylinders for transport.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Load cylinders on line with hoist
  • Prep cylinders for paint (mask, plug holes, clean surface, no weld bee bee’s)
  • Inspect cylinders for cosmetic flaws
  • Unmask cylinders
  • Check mil thickness
  • Prepare pallets for cylinders
  • Unload line with manipulator / hands to pallets prepared
  • Preparation for palletizing (Apply foam between cylinders, cardboard as needed, rust preventative)
  • Band cylinders securely to the pallet
  • Move pallet to finished goods
  • Clean area before leaving for the day
  • Replace screens and filters weekly
  • Clean work area daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education/Training/Experience:

High school diploma/GED; with zero to one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  

Skills:

Demonstrate Math proficiency as it relates to this job.

Use and maintain job tools (tape measure, utility knife, hoist, manipulator, nail guns, staple guns)
