Tekniq provides great I.T. to small and medium businesses (SMB's) in the Kansas City area. We're a firm that SMB's outsource to for things like PC's, servers, network equipment, and cloud services.

About the job

Our opening is for a Desktop Support Technician to work in the Kansas City metro area. There is a lot of variety in this role, including working with a wide variety of equipment, working in our office and at client sites, and providing services including installation, monitoring and support. Our clients run the gamut of industries, so there is variety from that perspective, too.

You'll have a direct and positive impact on our clients, by solving their I.T. problems and working with them to improve their I.T. systems.

Our team starts each day with a project meeting in the office, then spreads out to accomplish the day's work. Office hours are 8-5. There is some after-hours work, so weeks tend to be a bit longer than 40 hours, but most after-hours work is flexible to accommodate family or other commitments. You'll be working directly with clients.

This role offers a clear path for career advancement at Tekniq: from Desktop Support Technician to Support Engineer to Sr. Support Engineer. There may be opportunities to shift into other roles, as well.

Wages commensurate with experience, $36-50k. Tekniq offers competitive (dare we say great?) benefits.
