Job Description

About Taulia:

Taulia delivers working capital solutions that make it easy for businesses to free up cash, accelerate payments and improve supply chain health.

Since founding in 2009, we’ve envisioned a world where every business thrives by liberating cash. Today, our team of financial gamechangers have built a network connecting 1.6 million businesses across 168 countries and accelerated more than $90 billion in early payments.

Using our state-of-the-art platform, businesses now have the option to choose when and how to pay and get paid. It sounds simple. But our painless process provides both buyers and suppliers the chance to skyrocket their cash - cash to fuel economic growth all over the world. It’s win-win for everybody.

About the Job:

We’re looking to hire an experienced lawyer to work at Taulia GmbH, to support our Sales team across Europe, as well as in South Africa. The position would be based in our Düsseldorf office, but we are flexible about work-from-home arrangements. What we need: someone who is ready to negotiate enterprise SaaS contracts with very large companies (Airbus, Vodafone, Henkel and ALDI are some of our current customers), can deal with commercial partners like KPMG and IBM, understands data privacy in the B2B space, and has a working knowledge of trade finance or other similar financial products, because supply chain finance is a big part of what we sell (capital markets experience would probably also be an adequate background in this respect). As the only in-house lawyer in the time zone, this person will also have to play a generalist role, responding to questions about our current contracts, basic employment, corporate and customer service matters, and managing relationships with outside counsel.

Our ideal candidate would have approximately 10 years of experience, some of it in-house, but candidates who have the maturity, confidence and background to handle the work, regardless of the number of years they have been at law firms or in company legal departments, should apply. Taulia is a fast-growing, leading fintech, helping companies deploy and accelerate cash efficiently within the supply chain. In a single quarter last year, we facilitated early payment on nearly $6 billion in invoices. Our subsidiary in Germany was established in 2010, and we have a major commitment to the DACH market, which is why we need a German-qualified lawyer, although this position would also support our London-based Sales and Partner teams as well.

Skills and Qualifications:

●A blend of analytical, creative, and operational skills in order to win the confidence of the Sales team, other internal clients, and Taulia’s customers and partners.

●Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.

●Ability to work independently with high degree of professional and personal integrity.

●Strong attention to detail, ability to assess commercial risk and take strategic decisions while manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
