About the Job:
We are searching for a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our global Accounting team. This position will play an integral role in leading the Accounts Receivable and revenue processes. The Senior Accountant will also support other activities outside of revenue. The role is hands-on and will work cross-functionally with other departments in the organization. This is an opportunity to develop your accounting skills further and to also mentor other team members.
Determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment of customer contracts in accordance with company policy and accounting standards (including ASC 606)
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and prepare account reconciliations (including revenue recognition and deferred revenue reconciliation)
Provide analysis on financial results and key metrics
Support billing and collection processes
Help maintain daily cash activity records and assist other team members with cash posting discrepancies
Assist in financial audit, corporate tax filings and local/state tax requirements
Assist in compliance and investor reporting
4+ years of accounting experience preferably in a SaaS or FinTech company
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA license or CPA candidate a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP including ASC 606
NetSuite experience preferred
Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookup, sum/ifs, pivot tables etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees
