About the Job:
Taulia is seeking an experienced practitioner to join our team as our Head of China, focussed on delivering solutions that help every Chinese business thrive by releasing cash locked in the financial supply chain. As the Leader of the China team you will be at the heart of initially creating and then driving the growth of our customer solutions throughout the region.
You will work to identify key business opportunities and define and create a winning strategy across the Chinese B2B Working Capital ecosystem. You will understand key market trends and develop strategic initiatives and partnerships to penetrate the market and drive growth. You are someone who is capable of working strategically with internal and external stakeholders to build a brand, while creating and leading a team to deliver innovative Supply Chain financing solutions to the Chinese market.
The successful candidate will have:
A Strong Track Record – The candidate will have a strong successful track record to entering / penetrating new markets and establishing new businesses. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate proven success of building a strong team and executing on a go-to-market plan. Lastly, the candidate will have a demonstrated aptitude for both operating and thinking strategically while also being willing to "roll up the sleeves" and get into the details; working directly with customers and delivery teams.
A highly developed Strategic Ability - The candidate will have a very strong understanding of the supply chain finance ecosystem in China - both onshore and cross border, will have experience in working with key regulators and stakeholders, and will know where the right partnering opportunities exist.
Strong Problem Solving – The candidate will have strong problem-solving capabilities. Creating a new business in the marketplace is not easy, with many moving parts and uncertainties. The candidate will thrive in such environments and have the ability to build and design solutions, value propositions, and pitch ideas to stakeholders, partners and customers, all to drive growth.
A Collaborative nature – The candidate will work closely with the global Taulia team - especially sales, product development and marketing - to deliver their go-to-market strategy.
Professional Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive service experience in the open account trade finance industry, with demonstrated ability to grow businesses.
Experience across finance and technology sectors or similar organizations, of which at least five (5) years in Senior leadership roles. Demonstrated success in these roles is a requirement.
Experience within a global organization, working with large Multinational Corporations, as well as Chinese large corporations.
Experience in working with both domestic and international trade flows
An aptitude for project management (concurrent projects) and developing scalable systems and processes to manage a high-growth environment while enhancing the customer experience.
An aptitude for balancing resource constraints, budgeting, and "raising the bar" on quality and service delivery.
A working knowledge of Supply Chain Financing techniques across the Global marketplace, and within the Chinese marketplace; including all open account solutions for financing supply chains.
Understanding and exposure to the regulatory environment in China, as well as key stakeholders and policy makers surrounding Supply Chain Finance in China.
Strong experience in growing a business, delivering new mandates into a company through working with partners and corporates.
A keen sense of ethics and integrity.
