About the Job
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager responsible for leading an inside sales development team. At Taulia, we call this team the EBRs (Enterprise Business Representatives). It often goes by similar names at other organizations such as SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) or BDRs (Business Development Representatives).
This role is compensated through a combination of base salary and commission structure. Your commission will be compensated on the number of qualified meetings your team is able to generate. If you are a self-starter that knows how to effectively lead an inside sales team you will excel in this position. This person will ideally have both management and inside sales experience, understanding what it takes to be effective in the role they manage.
Leading the EBR team to achieve our pipeline generation quota
Managing and motivating a team of up to 8 EBRs, primarily local with some remote
Recruiting and onboarding new EBRs
Coaching and training the EBR team to drive incremental improvements in performance
Developing new tools and techniques to increase efficiency
Identifying and implementing areas for process and productivity improvement
Internal coordination with marketing and sales to ensure leads are effectively passed and followed up on
Reporting on team performance
Assist in the development of territories and commission plans
Sales Skills & Experience
At least 4 years of sales or sales development experience
You feel very comfortable with inside sales, speaking on the phone with people you don’t know
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening). Ability to receive and convey information effectively with clients and coworkers through all channels of communication
Able to quickly learn product functionality and features in a complex, finance oriented industry
Management Skills & Experience
At least 2 years of management experience
Experience identifying talent, recruiting and training new employees
Effective at developing and rolling out new processes and techniques
Understanding of sales management fundamentals - pipeline management, territory management, commission planning, etc.
Knowledge of Salesforce
Nice to have:
Experience with our other sales tools such as Yesware, HighSpot, LinkedIn, Zoominfo
Knowledge or understanding of Taulia’s industry (P2P Automation, Supply Chain Financing and/or Dynamic Discounting)
