Tastemade is seeking its first IT Support Specialist. This individual will take the lead on assisting employees with desktop, laptop, cellphone, email,  software and hardware related issues. It is our expectation that the person works well independently, and is able to prioritize and actively resolve requests in a timely manner.  in this role likes to work with others and will help them solve problems with a positive attitude and helpful spirit.

What you’ll do:

  • Basic Google Suite management as it relates to user account creation and modification, security and distribution groups

  • Responsible for updating all IT asset inventory

  • Work with People Operations team to ensure new hires have appropriate equipment and logins for all necessary tools/software

  • Manage effectively the resolution of support issues that are reported to the team

  • Troubleshooting problems as needed

  • Providing remote support/advice for our other offices (9 offices internationally)  

  • Monitor support requests, troubleshoot/diagnose, resolve to completion with proper follow up when necessary.

  • Address requests based on priority/urgency in an efficient, effective and timely manner.

  • Good technical support skills to assist and troubleshoot non-technical users on a variety of operating systems, hardware, devices, software and environments.

  • Act as an advocate for Tastemade, and effectively communicate feedback to and from the members of our team or third-party vendors

  • Take ownership of technical issues from initial requests to final resolution

  • Create internal and external support documentation

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ IT Support experience

  • Experience building an IT department from the ground up

  • Solid understanding of operating systems (Mac, Microsoft Windows, iOS and Android, G-suite, Chromebox, MS Office Suite)

  • Foundational knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, VPN devices and wireless and other networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP

  • Basic understanding of domain-based networks, such as file and print shares, mail and application servers.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize individual workflow - highly organized, works independently, flexible and resourceful

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

  • Strong relationship-building skills and client-service orientated

  • Ability to handle multiple requests/projects simultaneously and prioritize

  • Ability to demonstrate clear & confident communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to deal with problems and technical issues in a friendly, calm and reassuring manner

  • Excellent problem-solving ability. A proactive thinker who encompasses the ‘bigger picture’

  • Passion for IT and technology, and a drive to help clients take advantage of new solutions

  • An enthusiastic, thorough and methodical approach to problem solving

  • Self-motivated, with initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly – for example, supporting new applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
