Position Title: Senior Software Engineer (Platform)

Position Description/Responsibilities:

Tapjoy is looking for a senior software engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. The team is responsible for owning the core systems and services that support Tapjoy’s AdTech platform. If you enjoy core engineering work and getting your hands dirty in a wide variety of technologies, this would be a great position for you. As one of the first members of the team, you would have the opportunity to help shape the team’s roadmap and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain Tapjoy’s core web services

• Enhance and maintain job processing systems

• Design and Build internal tooling to support the engineering org

• Work with devops team on cost saving initiatives

About You:

• Generalist with a breadth of experience building scalable systems

• Have experience with distributed systems

• Have experience with Go, Ruby or similar languages

• Have a pragmatic approach to delivering software and are able to recognize engineering tradeoffs

Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of experience in backend web development

• Have experience with datastores such as MySQL, Couchbase, and Redis

• Have worked on large scale systems

• Familiarity with AWS

• Familiarity with git
