Position Title: Manager, Marketing
Tapjoy is in search of a motivated, highly organized, and creative senior marketing professional to join its global marketing team. The successful candidate will help us elevate our global content marketing strategy and execution and report to the Senior Director of Marketing. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX or Nashville, TN and will be responsible for the management of entry and mid-level marketers.
The Manager, Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping the global content strategy for our rapidly growing business which powers game monetization, user acquisition and customer research for some of the world’s largest brands and gaming businesses.
We are looking for someone with experience in content ideation and development, excellent copywriting skills, experience working with agency partners and good project management skills. This is a highly visible and exciting role. You will drive end-to-end marketing strategy and execution across a broad range of global stakeholders from commercial to product teams within the business.
Carry out qualitative and quantitative customer research to gain understanding of our customer wants and needs.
Analyze customer data to formulate into actionable insights for research reports.
Develop the global content strategy, tactics & goals as they apply to each stage of the marketing funnel: Awareness, Consideration, and Decision.
Develop product positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation for key customer personas.
Enable the Sales and Marketing team to effectively communicate product messaging, develop sales collateral and in-depth customer success stories.
Collaborate with agency partners to develop product specific content to fill the MQL pipeline.
Oversee relevant customer nurture programs and consistently evaluate customer lifecycle to identify areas for opportunity and improvement. Test to improve conversion and ROI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, locally and internationally, to align product marketing strategy with other areas and execution.
Work with the PR team to create content for industry articles, whitepapers, research reports, blog posts and speaking engagements.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
5+ years of Marketing experience in the mobile gaming or ad monetization space, a speciality in content marketing is a plus.
1-2 years of management experience.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
Outstanding communication skills, including turning complex ideas into simple messages.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to solicit relevant customer feedback and competitive intelligence and provide actionable information for positioning, messaging, product direction.
Experience with Salesforce and lead generation / lead tracking.
Experience in marketing automation and mobile development or marketing platforms (HubSpot, Wordpress).
Ability and willingness to be a hands-on leader.
Self-starter, broad thinker, strategic planner, analytical.
What Will Make You Successful:
Collaborative - A key part of the role is to work hand-in-hand with sales to unify the GTM strategies, to ensure that leveraging each other’s strengths and ensure alignment in marketing initiatives. This requires the successful candidate to be able to work across a matrix and have experience managing multiple stakeholders across multiple levels and functions.
Self Starter - While the successful candidate will have the support of a local marketing specialist, our global marketing team, partner agencies, the global sales teams, they’ll be required to manage the day-to-day across all marketing activities. This means they’ll need to be the sort of person that jumps two feet in and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Creatively led with campaign experience - The successful candidate will have experience in the creative process, understanding the importance of strategy within the process, and a detailed understanding of the delivery campaign assets across all customer touch points.
Jack of all trades - They’ll be skilled in project management and have experience across a range of different marketing disciplines. In particular, they should be digitally and data savvy with an ability to analyze data and uncover creative ways in which to leverage it for lead gen activities.
Experience - Ideally we’re looking for someone with previous experience working in the tech industry and or gaming industry. They should have at least 5 years in marketing related fields.
