Job Description

Position Title: Director, Account Management of North America

Position Description: As the Director of Account Management, Developer Relations, North America your primary mission will be to build and manage Tapjoy’s North America’s Developer Relations account management team.  You will work with our broad base of existing game developers (publishers) to maximize their revenues and deepen those relationships.  Your deep understanding of the Tapjoy products and platform align perfectly with the critical need to drive more opportunity with our strong publisher base and to optimize our monetization for our partners. Your knowledge of freemium app publishers, mobile app economies and advertising analytics will make a perfect match for this position. This role is partner-customer and public facing.  Your creative approach to our North America market strategy will also be essential.

Core Competencies:

  • Develop and execute Tapjoy’s vision and strategy of creating the most value for our partners.

  • Lead, manage and build the account management organization. Represent your group across cross-functional teams.

  • Act as a resource for new accounts when needed and actively participate in growth of new business.

  • Manage and mentor associates and managers on the Developer Relations account management team.

  • Develop and execute plans to meet the annual business plan.

  • Partner with the outreach team to ensure alignment with go-to-market plans and developer interactions.

  • Work collaboratively with Product and Marketing teams to ensure we build the go to market strategy for core ad products.

  • Work with support teams to structure the best pre and post sales integration and account management process and structure.

  • Travel as needed in order to maintain customer relationships, perform quarterly business reviews, or attend industry events.


  • 7+ years of Account Management / Customer Success experience in the mobile, advertising or analytics industry, with a minimum of 3+ years working on free-to-play apps.

  • 3+ years’ experience managing a team of no less than 3 reports.

  • Deep understanding of mobile and online free-to-play game mechanics with virtual economies.

  • Strategic, analytical, problem solver.

  • A passion for games and gaming, with an interest in keeping up on the latest industry trends.

  • Strong oral and written and presentation communication skills, combined with a mature, diplomatic approach in all communications required.

  • The ability to manage a high-performing team; develop the performance competencies of team members and provide coaching opportunities.
