Tapjoy is a rapidly growing company with strong revenues and solid market share, and is currently seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager to be responsible for overseeing the organization's compensation and benefit programs, policies, and procedures ensuring alignment with the corporate business strategy and achievement of competitive market position.  Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following as additional roles and/or focus will be needed as the company and department continues to grow and evolve:

  • Provide strategic and tactical oversight for compensation and benefit programs
  • Lead in design and implementation of various incentive plans
  • Ensures the compensation and benefits programs enhance the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees
  • Coach managers and supervisors on their respective roles in the execution of HR programs
  • Utilize strong research, analytical and problem solving skills, interpret data, build useable spreadsheets, summarize results and make recommendations
  • Support the Director of Human Resources as required with additional generalist responsibilities


  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in Compensation & Benefits Management
  • An undergraduate degree with an emphasis in human resources, business, psychology or related fields
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification is desirable
  • Thorough understanding of HR practices and principles including applicable pay and benefits laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA and HIPPA regulations; experience working with HRIS systems (existing system is Trinet)
  • Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting statistical data for planning and  decision making
  • Knowledge of HR practices and trends, including best practice
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws, legal codes, government regulations and agency rules
  • Knowledge of transactional HR procedures, managing files and records, designing processes and other procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing employee services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
