As a Senior Accountant, you will join a high-impact and energetic Finance team, helping to build out this function for an exciting high-growth business. You will have accounting and financial reporting responsibilities across all business lines and departments. You will be a critical component of completing our month-end close processes, annual financial audit and ongoing financial reporting to management. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing critical accounting processes, such as monthly accruals, prepaid schedules and fixed asset and depreciation schedules. You will be responsible for the general ledger and reviewing the accuracy of all entries.

Position Title: Accountant

Position Description/Responsibilities: 

  • Month End Close – Preparation of journal entries, review of general ledger activity and preparation of account reconciliations

  • Review AP, corporate credit cards, and expense reports (Concur) for proper coding

  • Bank reconciliations – prepares monthly bank to book reconciliation for all cash accounts

  • Fixed assets – maintains fixed asset sub-ledger; tracks and records in-transit fixed assets and capital in process; understands capitalization rules, runs fixed asset reports, records depreciation, and prepares fixed asset roll-forward. Responsible for periodic physical fixed asset count

  • Prepaid assets – maintains prepaid asset reconciliation; records prepaid assets and related amortization; ensures proper classification between LT and ST

  • Liabilities – responsible for ensuring accrued liabilities are recorded properly; works with outside vendors to track costs; and liability account reconciliation

  • Assists with consolidation and inter-company reconciliation process

  • Coordinate with subsidiaries in APAC and EMEA and assist with reviewing of international management reports

  • Assist in preparation of the month over flux analysis for management review

  • Own the publisher payout process.  Run reports from internal databases to compile a monthly list of payments to our publishers, and coordinate with business owners for approvals and entering the payments into our payment processor (Tipalti).

  • Partner with Engineering Team and Account Managers to reconcile and resolve issues related to publisher payout process

  • Miscellaneous – assists with preparing and gathering information for external audits, assists with ad hoc projects

Core Competencies include: 

  • In depth experience with ERP, specifically NetSuite (preferred)

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to organize, set priorities, and work independently

  • Multi-currency experience a plus

Requirements: 

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • College degree with emphasis in Accounting

  • Has or working towards CPA a plus

  • Big 4 experience a plus
