ABOUT THE POSITION

Switchgear Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Shop & Field Planner to assist with the coordination of our work that occurs at our facility and out in the field for the company’s various electrical and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively interface with fellow employees, vendors, engineers, and customers of varying backgrounds to efficiently support assigned projects. The position is a full-time, in person role.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with managers, supervisors, and coordinators to understand project timelines and coordinate shop and field needs in accordance with all parties and direction.
  • Responsible for making reservations for out-of-town work and coordinating vehicles for transportation
  • Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related issues
  • Assists with work allocation, attendance, and overtime considerations to ensure an orderly flow of work throughout the facility and in the field.
  • Regularly collaborate with engineers, electricians, customers, and other technicians.
  • Recommends areas for improvement in planning processes as needed to supervisors/managers.
  • May perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior, related planning experience a plus.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
  • Strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Builds strong relationships with administrative staff, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field technicians.
  • Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Driving to jobs may be required in this role.
  • Must be willing to confidently submit to the background and drug screening process.
