Sales/Business Development Manager

Job Description

POPSUGAR, the leader in online media for women and recently named to the "10 San Francisco Tech Companies You Wish You Worked For" by WIRED (http://www.wired.com/business/2012/10/best-san-francisco-tech-companies?...), is looking for an outstanding candidate to join our team as a Sales/Business Development Manager in either San Francisco or New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, establish, and support relationships with expanding list of key retailer partners; act as a day-to-day liaison for smaller partnerships
  • Help manage POPSUGAR Shopping’s affiliate program including partner relationships, customer service, marketing, and program expansion
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful execution of business development deals
  • Work with creative and technical teams to design, develop and implement new products for the site
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis (market size, competitive benchmarks, trends, opportunities, customer needs and expectations)
  • Assist with the day-to-day support of POPSUGAR Shopping’s international teams (CA/AU)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of business development and/or marketing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of leading Internet trends with a strong interest in commerce and digital media
  • Analytical thinker with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to work individually or on a team
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A self-starter who can take the ball and run with it with a positive attitude
