The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and providing insightful reporting to support our strategic objectives. This mid-level position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Handle collections and client billing issues.
• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll and assist with 401(k) administration.
• Support basic HR functions, including onboarding and record-keeping.
• Assist with end-of-month financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software (QuickBooks and/or Sage X3).
• Prepare and process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies while maintaining financial integrity.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Nice-to-haves:

• CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience in financial analysis or reporting.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
