The Router Configuration echnician is primarily responsible for repair relating to networks including routers, networking & telecommunications equipment. The technician must also have knowledge of standard Ethernet and IP protocols, experience uploading the iOS and configuration into the router, and be able to perform the troubleshooting Upload/Activate the license through TFTP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have Cisco router experience. 

Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications equipment in conjunction with other company employees & organizations.

Perform maintenance activities

Work nights and/or weekends as scheduled

Work well as a part of a team as well as be able to perform as an individual with minimal supervision

Ensure that all  issues on scheduled shift are handled in a timely manner, escalating to upper management as necessary.

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Education / Experience:

CCNA Certified – Minimum

At least 6 months of hands on experience with configuring network protocols 

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills / Knowledge

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as circuit inventory software

Knowledge of TCP/IP, upload Cisco IOS and troubleshooting


This pays $15-$17/hour
