The Master Scheduler plans and directs the output of the plant and well as managing  Distribution Center order wave planning,  order management and customer communication. 

Our ideal problem solver is THE warehouse system guru and is heavily interested in scheduling functions within the organization – setting the process that have yet to be in place. Using real-time monitoring, exception reporting and flexibility during order fulfilment, the Master Scheduler is innovative and get their “thrills” creating, planning, and releasing waves in one bigger, better, faster step.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customer on designating priorities with schedule discrepancies

  • Develop weekly production plan and review with operations daily  

  • Partner with Materials group to identify and avoid shortages

  • Assigns and monitors the work of all plant personnel and various warehouse personnel

  • Completes the waves in warehouse management system utilizing systems in an automated manner  

  • Ensures a balance of plant capacity and customer demand by smoothing out demand peaks and valleys via strategic scheduling of the plant.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Master's degree is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years wave master scheduling, production planning, or large distribution center wave planning experience
  • Advanced systems experience (ie. MRP, WMS, MPS, etc.) including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
