Job Description

We’re looking for someone to join our health services organization to assist with our referral process. We’re a small/medium (around 50) but established (in business since 1978) company focused on working with large health insurance companies. We provide high quality medical supplies. You would be spending the majority of your time processing patient accounts.

What would you be doing all day?

  • Verifying patient insurance coverage.
  • Determining proper insurance payer based on medical supply needs. 
  • Verifying Patient order information for accuracy; address, service dates, items and quantities
  • Receiving and Responding to patient/caregiver or payer staff call inquiries in a professional manner
  • Reviewing One Time Orders for completeness and locate substitute items as necessary.
  • Informing new customers of shipments and future shipment process
  • Documenting calls and other tasks in our computer system
  • Working with a great group of fellow representatives to meet the needs of our customers/callers

What do we need from you?

  • Strong computer skills...comfort with toggling between systems and doing a good deal of data entry and typing while on the phone
  • Desire to learn numerous State Medicaid Programs Coverage and eligibility.
  • This position will require some time spent on the phone talking to customers, medical service coordinators and physician offices, so a keen attention to detail and great communication skills are very important.
  • A willingness to learn about specific medical supplies and continue to develop that knowledge
  • The ability to work 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday (shift may vary slightly). NO WEEKEND HOURS!
