What you’ll do - Summary: 

Working within the SQAD Product team responsible for delivering on-time and on-budget feature functionality exceeding client expectations. Particular focus initially will be to help in creating business requirements documentation for our Media Costs and Analytics products. The Business Analyst is responsible for working with both the Product Managers and Development team to ensure that the client needs are properly documented and communicated to the development team.  Individuals in this role must deliver efforts in a structured manner and have great organizational, communication, financial, and relationship management skills. 

 

What you’ll do - Detail: 

  • Manage and be a hands on member of a team of product managers and with them, define the scope and document the business requirements for our ever-evolving suite of products. 

  • Operations to the Business Analyst process include: 

  • Evaluate business processes and determine areas for improvement to the current process. 

  • Work with existing and prospective clients, users, and internal resources to evaluate and prioritize product opportunities and features.   

  • Develop and communicate detailed functional requirements and objectives to Development team. 

  • Work with Development to ensure alignment between market requirements and product design. 

  • Work collaboratively with Development and other teams to resolve questions that arise during development, maintaining a positive working relationship. 

  • Conduct user acceptance testing 

  • Coordinate development, testing, and documentation efforts to meet product release schedule. 

  • Consult with and give input to our Development team to gain understanding of the scope and nature of architectural work required to fulfill product vision. 

  • Be prepared to work in a fast-paced, innovation-filled environment with constantly changing priorities while still meeting deadlines. 

  • Identify trends in the media marketplace that could impact our business and create documentation so the Development team can account for those changes in our product suite.   

Ideal Skills and Experience: 

  • Strong knowledge of/experience with media systems, previous advertising media experience desired, large agency/client experience is a preferred plus. 

  • BS or MS degree and 3-5 years of experience in product management role with experience in the standard Software Development Life Cycle.  

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, strong ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment and skills in producing product requirements and user stories. 

  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical specifications. 

  • Strong aptitude to manage controversial situations as well as influence positive, collaborative outcomes. 

  • Strong background in technology, media, and customer-facing solutions. 

  • Experience in a fast-paced software development environment preferred with demonstrated ability in managing multiple efforts simultaneously.
