Business Development Representative

Job Summary

This is an outside facing role requiring excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to convey our vision and capabilities to potential clients.  The goal is to educate prospects on what we can do for them, increase interest among prospects who are already familiar with Spotlink, and secure a mutually beneficial arrangement by having them sign up for our business enhancing technology services. Initially this role will have some inside sales duties including prospecting to build the sales pipeline.

Essential Functions:

  • 30% Maintains and enhance relationships with interested prospects
  • 30% Cultivate new leads thru canvasing, prospecting, and partnerships
  • 15% Attend first time appointments
  • 10% Maintain “warm 250” database
  • 5% Establish & maintain relationships with value added partners
  • 5% Recommend new approaches & techniques


Nonessential Functions

  • 5 % Marketing duties as needed and as skills allow


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 3 years successful outside sales experience
  • Experience in technology sales highly desirable
  • Experience with TruMethods sales framework highly desirable
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license


Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an office setting including; sitting for long periods of time, lifting, bending

Hours: Flex-time, Monday- Friday 9 am- 5 pm, afterhours work occasionally as business requires
