About the Role:

 

The Account Executive has direct sales responsibilities over a designated territory. This individual is responsible for (not limited to) cultivating leads for the sales pipeline, developing proposals to drive new business, and meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Directors and Sr Account Executives to develop insights which continually improve department infrastructure and workflow management

  • Contribute in other areas of company development such as managing product wishlists, contributing to the marketing team and business intelligence teams

  • Maintain strong relationships with AdOps and Production to encourage cross team collaboration

  • Identify and manage opportunities, accounts and contacts to generate new prospects

  • Manage client prospect lifecycle from outbound to inbound response (non solicited/ solicited) to successfully generate awareness and discover new business leads

  • Organize and maintain client list and continuously evaluate current prospects to develop sustainable client base

  • Drive Pre- meeting prep (from client outreach/ research, generation of mock media plans and collateral, benchmarks, playlists, demos, etc) to ensure successful pitch meeting

  • Attend & Present Pitch Meetings

  • Document and assess new information from client meetings to develop actionable insights

  • Execute Post Pitch Meeting Action items (follow up, reach out to non attendees, connect socially, etc)

  • Oversee and implement pre-proposal process (Engage internal and external stakeholders to build media strategy and creative brainstorming for RFP)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders during pre-launch phase (production insights, answer questions on custom execution, approvals, site list, etc.)

  • Analyze campaign summary reports, manage post mortem calls and drive retention management

  • Keep pulse on industry trends and best practices and disseminate that information across sales team

  • Become an expert on Spongecell products and offerings

About You:

  • A bachelors degree from 4 year university, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years professional experience in digital media sales required 

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape is a must!

  • Highly autonomous, self directed and comfortable working within a remote working environment

  • Experienced in working collaboratively across all teams and skilled in handling standard client communication in a friendly & effective manner

  • Ability to think quickly on the spot and handle several issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
