About this Opportunity


This position demands versatility, as we are in a fast-paced environment. We are searching for people who will get the job 'done' and go beyond the call of duty. There are often opportunities for promotion and for that reason, we look for people who show a special quality to take our department and company to the next level. For this position, you will be required to complete training and work remotely on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week. This role reports to a Customer Care Lead.


This temporary to possible permanent position will be employed through an employment agency for 4-6 months, at which point, the position will be assessed for permanent employment directly with Spokeo. There is no guarantee that employment with Spokeo will occur.


What you’ll do:

  • Accurately, quickly, and efficiently handle customer contacts via phone (for billing and retention, technical troubleshooting, content questions, etc.). Training for handling chat and email contacts will come later.

  • Translate technological jargon in a way that users like your parents or grandparents could easily understand.

  • Take key user feedback, and quickly and concisely pass it to the appropriate department (so we can keep improving the user experience).


The skills you have:

  • Strong communication - both verbal and written

  • Flexibility and can work anytime within our Customer Care Department Hours: currently 7 am - 6 pm Pacific (7 days/week)

  • Goal-driven and outcome-oriented in prior work experiences

  • Solutions-oriented when working with remote customers

  • Curious about technology and a quick study

  • Strong typing skills - at least 50 wpm or more


Other things that would make you further stand out:

  • Prior experience with Zendesk

  • A four-year college degree or work experience equivalent
