POSITION:  Community Engagement Specialist (Full-Time)

Washington Location

 

Rapid Recovery Program provides case management, life skills and linkage and referral to community and support services.

 

A Community Engagement Specialist will utilize evidenced based models and practices to engage residents to participate in needed services and community activities.  In your role as a Community Engagement Specialist, you will provide case management services, develop, and maintain community resources to assist in providing a wide range of social and community resources to the clients.  In addition, as a Community Engagement Specialist you will utilize HUD Housing Quality Standards as a tool to teach home maintenance to the clients as well as conduct regular home visits to ensure a quality home environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:            

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in social work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university; one year case management experience preferred; an equivalent combination of skills, experience and education may be considered, at the discretion of the Agency.
  2. Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during an interview to make proper service recommendations.
  3. Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police and Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
  4. Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during an interview to make proper recommendations.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health programs and available social services.
  6. Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal health care program.
