The Opportunity
We are seeking a mid-level Cost and Budget Analyst to join our finance team at Solutions 2 GO. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Objective
To control and analyze the company's inventories, costs, and budgets. Key responsibilities include recording and monitoring inventories, analyzing distribution and sales costs, preparing monthly reports, evaluating the financial impact of new projects, and coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.
Scope
This position will control and analyze the company's inventories, costs, expenses and perform analysis on budget alignment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to develop a consolidated and finalized budget.
- Monitor expense performance and identify trends.
- Identify issues and suggest improvement actions.
- Conduct cost-benefit or scenario analysis for new projects.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports.
- Work in collaboration with other departments such as Accounting, Distribution, and Purchasing to ensure accurate financial records and process efficiency.
- Prepare investment recovery reports to be submitted to our business partners.
- Implement controls for inventory adjustments, reserves for slow-moving and obsolete inventory, as well as processing and disposal of scrap.
- Present monthly reports on Class B inventory and follow-up on actions to reduce it.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team in Canada to resolve inquiries related to costs, expenses, and inventory.
- Establish monthly procedures to collect cost, expense, and inventory information from business units in Miami, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina.
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and Power BI.
· Experience with ERP systems.
· Knowledge of cost accounting, accounting principles, and budgeting.
· Ability to interpret data and generate clear reports.
Competencies
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication skills to work effectively with various departments.
Background
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
· 3–5 years of experience in roles related to cost accounting or financial analysis.
· Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
