Who are you?

You are an experienced, full-stack Senior UX/UI Designer with a deep knowledge of digital advertising. You’ve got more than a few raving fans who love your design aesthetic and research techniques. You have designed and launched relevant advertising platforms or products, owning the entire end-to-end design process including constructing and executing qualitative and/or quantitative user research plans, synthesizing research into actionable insights and powerful storytelling, designing robust information architectures,creating user journeys, wireframes, and mockups,, and validating it all through assorted low- and high-fidelity prototyping techniques - both during pre-launch development and post-rollout maintenance & enhancements. You desire to be in a position of personal responsibility for your product’s adoption & ongoing success.

 

You are very detail-oriented, able to develop beautiful visual designs, and craft simple and intuitive user experiences that inspire your cross-functional stakeholders and users alike. You are passionate about your work while also being a team player. You have strong communication and storytelling skills, and are able to politely defend your design concepts while remaining open to feedback and input from others. You embrace an iterative (agile) design and development approach in every aspect of your role.

 

You possess:

  • an expert-level understanding of and appreciation for the core principles of modern user experience research and design, including the fundamentals of human-centered design, both in principle and in practice

  • strong working knowledge of various low- and high-fidelity prototyping techniques, including the ability to assess which techniques to apply in different scenarios

  • working knowledge of front-end web and mobile frameworks

  • complete mastery of Adobe CS, Sketch, and at least one major UI/UX prototyping tool (e.g. InVision)

  • at least 5 years of UI design, UX research & design, and prototyping experience, with at least 2 years specifically in digital advertising

  • Experience building mobile specific interfaces


 

Last but definitely not least - you are well-versed in and fueled by ethnographic research and design thinking, with relevant experience leading human-centered design projects, gathering user research, and applying that research to develop optimal user experiences.

What will you be doing?

  • Conducting human-centered design and ethnographic user research to unmask the real needs of our users and to guide your designs

  • Designing simple, yet beautiful human-centric user experiences, accounting for multiple web & mobile environments, devices, and screen sizes

  • Working closely (as a peer) with product managers and engineers to deliver world-class, market-leading products

  • Presenting your ideas, wireframes, and prototypes to a variety of stakeholders

 

You will be:

  • Data-driven and results-oriented

  • Experienced working alongside agile teams

  • Exceptionally good at authentically understanding the needs of users, and representing those needs via elegant, simple design concepts

  • Self-motivated, exhibiting strong self-management and a sense of urgency

  • Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with other people and departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • An exceptionally strong communicator and presenter

  • Able to get things done amid tight time constraints

  • Willing to travel occasionally (international and domestic)

 

You will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree (BS or BFA) from an accredited college or university

  • 5+ years of product design experience, encompassing the full stack (UI, UX research and design, prototyping)

  • A portfolio of relevant work in the digital advertising space (not academic) is required. Please submit your portfolio (URL, PDF, or otherwise) with your resume. Please highlight two projects that you feel reflect work most applicable to the requirements of this role.
