NOTE: This is a 3-6 month contract with an expectation of 30 hours per week. Can be partially remote.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Recruiter who can help us take our Recruiting Team to the next level, by hiring amazing talent for our Tech (Engineering, Data Science, and Product) and Sales teams. We work hard to deliver exceptional service to our candidates and employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting for positions across multiple disciplines: sourcing, pre-screening

  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers to understand business objectives, role requirements and desired candidate profiles

  • Source amazing candidates! You are wizard at finding great talent and getting them excited about us!

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within the Applicant Tracking System

  • Assist in providing creative recruiting tactics to attract candidates

  • Successfully represent our culture throughout the hiring process

  • Represent Sojern at meetups, recruiting events and open houses



  • You are a recruiting Superstar!

  • You have a minimum 8-10+ years’ experience in in-house recruitment either as a contractor or in a full-time capacity ideally from the software or media industry

  • You are an expert at using LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing

  • You are well versed in social media capabilities from an employment branding and sourcing perspective

  • You have subject matter expertise in technology recruiting

  • You never share secrets. Confidentiality is key to this role.

  • You are an expert with Applicant Tracking Systems, Gmail and Google Apps

  • You have an extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail

  • You have an outstanding focus on achieving a high level of customer service and organization

  • You have knowledge of, and experience with, HR practices, immigration process, laws, and application

  • You can interact with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Start-up experience is a must

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
