The role:

Sojern is looking for a dynamic Senior Recruiter to support our global hiring efforts. We are a rapidly growing company and we want you to be part of this amazing growth and expansion. Based in our Omaha office you will support the local team as well as the rest of the US, EMEA, and APAC offices in regards to Recruiting. We have an incredible product and exceptional employees. 

We work hard to deliver exceptional service to our candidates and employees. Whether it’s working with our sales leader to source awesome candidates for our current openings or looking for the next great idea to brand Sojern or to reach out to potential university students, you’re on it! 


  • Lead full life cycle recruiting for positions across multiple disciplines: sourcing, pre-screening, face-to-face interviews, selection and reference checking. Functional focus would be on sales, account management, analytics, finance, marketing and product development

  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers to understand business objectives, role requirements and desired candidate’s profiles

  • Source amazing candidates! You are wizard at finding great talent and getting them excited about us

  • Manage flow of candidates through the recruitment process. From reviewing resumes, performing and scheduling interviews, reference checks, to bringing employees on board

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within the Applicant Tracking System (JobScore)

  • Assist in providing creative recruiting tactics to attract candidates

  • Successfully represent our culture throughout the hiring process

  • Represent Sojern at meet-ups, recruiting & branding events and open houses

What you bring to the table:

You thrive in the world of Recruiting and People Operations (the good, the bad and the ugly) and the excitement that a startup brings. You excel in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ever-changing environment. You can readily adapt to any situation and are excited to roll-up your sleeves and create something new. You aren’t above doing the little things, but you’re ready to tackle the big jobs, too. You live for jam-packed days, but always have time to support a team member. Oh, and having fun is a must!

  • You are a recruiting superstar!

  • You have a minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in in-house recruitment either as a contractor or in a full-time capacity ideally from the software or media industry

  • You are strong in LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing

  • You are well-versed in social media capabilities from an employment branding and sourcing perspective

  • You can strike up a conversation with anyone and have a great sense of humor

  • You are all about hospitality and making sure our candidates have a great interview experience

  • You are diligent about keeping the hiring managers informed of candidate and process status

  • You never share secrets. Confidentiality is key to this role and in People Ops

  • You have amazing organizational skills, time management skills, and love to plan

  • You are experienced managing multiple time zones for scheduling and coordinating candidates across multiple locations

  • You are comfortable with Applicant Tracking Systems (JobScore) and Gmail

  • You have an extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail

  • You have an outstanding focus on achieving a high level of customer service and organization

  • You have demonstrated the ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision

  • You can interact with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Start-up experience is nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required

  • Global recruitment experience preferable
