The Role: 

Sojern is looking for a talented Sales Operations Analyst to join our team. We are a rapidly growing company, and we want you to be part of this amazing growth and expansion. We are looking for a team member to provide analytical support for Sojern’s variable compensation program. The Commissions Analyst will help develop and execute strategies for variable compensation plans through data extraction, analysis, and actionable commentary. The analyst will support the design, implementation, evaluation, and administration of variable compensation plans that effectively measure and reward behaviors that lead to results. This position is located in Omaha and reports to the Sr. Sales Ops Analyst.

 

The Team:

This role will be a member of the high-functioning SalesOps Team. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional user-experience for our business partners. This role will have the ability to interact with other teams at all levels in the organization, allowing the opportunity to add significant value to all Sojern employees. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reporting and analysis for sales compensation execution, as well as other sales compensation projects.

  • Maintain existing reports and proactively drive ad hoc reporting aimed at process optimization/automation, plan evaluation, or evidence based plan design changes.

  • Independently identify appropriate reporting and analysis in support of sales compensation execution.   

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of accurate sales quotas.

  • Assist in calculating monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual commission payouts. This includes ensuring the calculations are accurate and in accordance with the plan.

  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies or exceptions and effectively communicate outcomes to sales leaders.

  • Assist with the monthly variable pay accrual process and provide data to accounting, finance, and payroll as needed.

  • Innovate on tools, processes and procedures related to variable pay administration, including but not limited to leveraging SalesForce, BigQuery, and Tableau to support and strengthen the sales compensation program.

  • Become familiar with Sojern’s sales cycle and business initiatives to understand the effect on commission plan reporting.

  • Assist in the effort to provide guidance/training with groups outside of the finance team, including sales and account management to ensure effective communication, understanding, and buy-in.

  • Develop internal relationships with stakeholders such as Sales AEs & Leadership, Account Managers (AMs), Product managers and Marketing to provide insight & leadership through data.

  • Duties may include supporting multiple markets, leading to after-hour calls and potentially traveling internationally.

  • Possess a masterful understanding of Sojern data, products/solutions, team functions and be able to interact effectively with Sojern’s systems (BigQuery, Tableau & Salesforce)

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience (preferred in business, marketing, or a related field)

  • 3+ years operations or analytics experience

  • 1+ years of Tableau & SQL experience

  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience with respect to activity tracking and reporting is required

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data filters/sorts 

  • Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies and able to work independently & cross-functionally

  • Goal-oriented, passionate, high-energy professional with a “no excuses” attitude

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be comfortable and competent in communications to veteran sales representatives and executives both internally & externally 

  • Possesses the drive to participate and succeed in the growth of an extremely fast-paced, exciting company

  • Strong computer skills with experience using MS Office, Google and SalesForce applications
