The Sales Director role drives/leads business to business sales and is responsible for developing, growing, and managing a digital advertising book of strategic clients’ business within MEA. The Sales Director will define and work closely with the GM on the go-to-market strategy and/or support retention of Sojern’s existing strategic client base while also developing and acquiring new strategic clients across the region. Clients will include major global hotel groups, airlines, tourism boards, and brand advertisers.
The small but mighty Dubai commercial team is made up of 7 people covering a range of commercial responsibilities for the MEA region. The team possess core skills across travel and multi-channel digital advertising covering Enterprise and SMB clients within the region.
Define and lead Go-To-Market strategy to acquire and develop new strategic clients across the relevant vertical/region
Lead in developing, managing and growing an advertising book of business predominantly made up of hotel / travel / tourism clients
Work closely with the Dubai based media agencies and maintain core relationships to help grow the business for their travel and non-travel clients
Independently able to maintain and grow a large book of business and have deep sales strategy conversations with any of Sojern’s clients
Independently create and deliver persuasive presentations that educate the market and demonstrate Sojern’s value proposition
Effectively collaborate cross-functionally with vertical sales, account management and product teams to develop relevant advertising programs for key clients, targets and their agencies
Meet and exceed growing sales targets on a quarterly basis
Maintain SalesForce and keep client activity organized
What you bring to the table:
+7 years overall sales experience in digital and programmatic advertising, travel and Dubai experience
A core understanding of the ME advertising agency landscape
Proficiency in standard business and sales software, including Salesforce, Gsuite, and Office products
Ability to build sales plans and RFP responses
A fundamental understanding of the programmatic ecosystem
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Travel Required 30%
