Product Marketing Manager

Product Management | Omaha, NE | Full Time

Job Description

Do you love travel? Do you want to be part of a winning company, and play a leading role in building relevant, innovative advertising products for the travel vertical?

Who are we?

Sojern is travel's leading data-driven performance marketing engine. We have been called "the most successful big data marketer in travel" and earned the fastest growing travel technology company distinction on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for 3 years running.

Working with over 800 global travel brands, we aspire to be travel’s leading performance marketing engine using billions of data points and our travel data platform to put more heads in beds, travelers in seats and tourists in towns than anyone else!

Our headquarters are in San Francisco, with key offices in New York, Omaha, London, Dublin, Dubai and Singapore.

The role:

You are an exceptional Product Marketing Manager with a deep knowledge of the advertising industry. You have worked collaboratively with sales and product teams to rollout successful products in the past, and have a strong reputation as a go-to-market expert. You own your rollouts, and don’t let details fall through the cracks.

You are a great writer. You explain things well and know how to deliver a great presentation. You are a natural problem solver, have a “no excuses” mentality and generally maintain a positive outlook when difficulties arise.

You know how to properly define product solutions that address real customer pain. You know how to craft features and benefits (and know how they are different from one another).  You think in terms of speaking to real enterprise customers, addressing objections of the different personas along the sales cycle. You communicate expertly to explain and to convince. You probably have 2-3 years of recent product marketing experience.

What will you be doing?

  • You will help manage the product rollouts for one or two major product lines as part of our Enterprise Solutions product team (reporting to product, not marketing). Your end-to-end product lifecycle management responsibilities will include: researching product/market fit, customer feedback, alpha/beta programs, product messaging, rollout/go-to-market strategy, and ongoing support in-market.

  • You will interface directly with commercial teams: GMs, sales leaders, account managers, partner managers and advertising customers directly, collaborating on potential solutions and gathering feedback for new products and product features.

You will be:

  • Data-driven and results-oriented

  • Exceptionally good at authentically understanding the needs of our customers, and representing those needs in the form of concrete market requirements, release documents and rollout materials

  • Self-motivated; exhibiting strong self-management and a sense of urgency

  • Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with other people and departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • An exceptionally strong writer and presenter

  • Able to get things done amid tight time constraints

  • Willing to travel occasionally (international and domestic)

You will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Strong preference given for marketing or other business undergraduate degrees (BS, BBA). An MBA is highly desirable

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 1-3 years as a product marketing manager with strong knowledge of programmatic advertising and audience data

  • Samples of product rollouts that you have personally managed, or the ability to otherwise demonstrate personal excellence in this area

  • Culture: Our team loves a good time

  • Snacks: Well-stocked kitchen to fill your breakfast, lunch, and snack needs

  • Opportunities: Be part of a growing team with training and support to help you grow

  • Give Back: We give 40 hours a year to volunteer and organize office volunteer programs with local organizations

  • Ownership: Lead innovative and challenging projects

  • Meals: Monthly catered lunches & happy hours

  • Flexible time off

  • Wealth: Stock options
