The role:

Do you want to develop compelling B2B brand and press stories, drive media coverage, build relationships with industry thought leaders, and help accelerate Sojern’s trajectory as one of the fastest-growing tech companies revolutionising the travel advertising space? As the PR and Content Manager, APAC, you will use your experience in relationship building, storytelling, and content development to plan and execute public relations programs supporting local thought leadership and sales initiatives that inspire and win business from travel marketers and agency decision makers across Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region.

Sojern has a significant global footprint and already partners with the world’s leading airlines, hotel chains, cruise operators, tourism providers, and boutique hoteliers to reach travellers and deliver amazing experiences for millions of consumers and business travellers around the globe. This high-visibility role will support the sales teams based in our Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong offices to help them accelerate brand awareness across target markets and drive new client acquisition. Reporting to the Sr. PR Manager, EMEA, you’ll be a key player in building our world-class marketing team vision and driving competitive advantage for Sojern. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Provide direct PR support for our primary English language markets Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.

  • Develop and deliver strategic PR support for the greater APAC region.

  • Localise global PR initiatives by identifying unique and compelling media angles in order to secure high-quality press coverage in popular regional trade publications.

  • Confidently work with senior executives to provide guidance on localising key messages, creating compelling talking points and successfully navigating press interviews.

  • Localise and own the Sojern corporate story for APAC in partnership with the team.

  • Write press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, thought leadership articles, talking points, and industry commentary

  • Drive thought leadership content through the development of blog posts, case studies, and regional whitepapers.

  • Work with the APAC Marketing Associate to localise and adapt Sojern sales collateral for the APAC market.

  • Track/report on press initiatives, press interviews, press coverage and new collateral development on a monthly basis.

What you bring to the table:

  • 6+ years of industry or agency experience in public relations, and or B2B marketing.

  • Proven success building strong relationships with local influencers such as top tier journalists and brand marketers.

  • A good understanding of the APAC media landscape; existing press contacts a plus.

  • Significant experience of dealing with all forms of media and a track record of implementing successful press strategies resulting in notable press coverage.

  • Team player with strong cross-functional, organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Self-starter who works well independently; excellent project and time management skills.

  • Strong multi-cultural communications skills both written and verbal.

  • Hands-on and ready to jump in and create value.

  • Experience in adtech or travel a plus.

  • A portfolio of work examples including blog posts, press releases or other examples of English language business writing is a must.

  • Ability to travel (potentially 1-2 times per quarter).
